O livro Ciência em Cena: Teatro no Museu da Vida narra e registra a trajetória de vinte anos de um projeto que busca integrar ciência e teatro, se consolidando como um dos principais meios de divulgação científica do Museu da Vida. Nosso principal desafio neste projeto foi representar graficamente a integração entre ciência e teatro. Depois de muita pesquisa e algumas tentativas entendemos que para representar elementos tão abstratos criar uma metáfora visual seria uma boa solução. E foi o que fizemos. Transformamos a capa em um palco de teatro, com iluminação cenográfica, no qual a ciência faz sua encenação. Por sua vez, a ciência foi representada por grafismos circulares, em contorno ou preenchidos, que simbolizam o universo espacial e o atômico, o macro e o micro. Em uma tentativa de englobar a maior gama possível de assuntos tratados por esta ampla disciplina.

The book 'Ciência em Cena: Teatro no Museu da Vida' narrates and records the twenty-year journey of a project that seeks to integrate science and theater, establishing itself as one of the main means of scientific dissemination at the Museum of Life. Our main challenge in this project was to graphically represent the integration between science and theater. After extensive research and several attempts, we understood that creating a visual metaphor would be a good solution to represent such abstract elements. And that's what we did. We transformed the cover into a theater stage with scenic lighting, on which science performs its enactment. In turn, science was represented by circular graphics, in outline or filled, symbolizing the spatial and atomic universe, the macro and the micro. An attempt to encompass the broadest possible range of subjects addressed by this extensive discipline.
